Onwards to Kamunting!
10:27 PM
Summer break's ongoing but our Leo Club is still very much active!
Our event was located in the small town of Taiping
Our event starts as soon as we reach Taiping
Look at the number of dogs at the place
Madam Kang alone has to take care of at least 150+ of them
She has been on the newspapers before
I'm sure you have at least come across Madam Kang's name
She shifted to Taiping all the way from Penang
Some of the cuter dogs under the care of Madam Kang
We bought some daily necessities as well as
some brand new equipments for her
Trying to pile up all the dry leaves, branches and wood
All this would be burnt to avoid breeding of creatures
ie. mosquito n' snakes
Not an easy task for someone staying alone n'
taking care of the whole compound filled with dogs
+ She's not as young or energetic as the person in the picture above
Broken shovel, talk about strength O.oSome overworked themselves while others laze around complain a lil too much!
Not all are as passionate n' dedicated
Have a look at that pile
Imagine three similar piles of that size
Finishing the job n'
taking an official group pic for the Leo blog
Let's sidetrack abit n' I'll show you my fave dog there xD
The hotdog aka daschund, cute aint it?
Second day at Taiping's Children Home
Separated into groups for fun filled activities =)
The team leader for my group =P
Among their favourite pastime
Drawing, not blindfolded of course
This was one of the activities lined up during the 4 hour visit
This game was 'helang tangkap anak ayam'
Not a clue what is the English name for it
Don't it look like we are the helang instead of the kids? *haha*
They were xtremely energetic n' we Leos were almost exhausted just running for about 5 mins
As we approached the end of our visit
See if you can spot the *touch up* part in this picture =P
Credits to the photographers,
Brian C
Adrian aka Jhun Hoe n' last but not least
Alyssa!
Thanx again for all those who came n' make a difference! =)
